That Linked In and Twitter split...

Since 2009 we have been able to share our professional conversations on LinkedIn and Twitter - so what we posted on one, would appear on both platforms.

Now Twitter has changed its strategy on the way our Tweets appear in third-party applications. This means that Tweets will no longer be shown on LinkedIn. However it will still work the other way around - updates you post on LinkedIn will still appear on Twitter, provided you check the box with the Twitter icon, and click "Share." 

This will automatically send your update to both your LinkedIn connections and your Twitter followers just as before. So even if you have synced your LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, conversations you start on Twitter will no longer be automatically shared with your LinkedIn network.
