How Did This All Start?

Hi - and thanks for visiting Networking in Surrey. I'm Keith Grover and I created this website back in 2010 to provide a valuable free resource for all fellow business networkers in Surrey.

Business networking is booming in the current economic climate - in line with the explosion of social media. There are hundreds of networking events every day in the UK alone, and we've found over 100 active groups in Surrey, so it's hard to keep track of the ones in your area. Although we're online, this site was initially all about face-to-face networking, because in our experience that's where most business happens.  

We found sites with events listings that tended to offer too much other 'stuff', and cover a wide catchment area. I decided to zoom in on networking, and focus on a well defined and manageable area - a county. After all, who can afford to drive for hours to a networking meeting? 

Then the world changed - forever! Networkland today is a HYBRID mix of ONLINE events and IN-PERSON meetings. 

So, I look forward to seeing you out and about at local networking events - or in the Zoom Room!
