Networking in Surrey

Request for help from Len - please take a brief survey!

Hi NiS Members!

Can you please spare a few minutes to do a survey to help out Len Goss and the University of Surrey?  Many of yo uwill know Len from his time as a Director at Surrey Chambers and from networking meetings over the years - most recently at Foxhills.  Here is Len's plea:

Dear fellow NiS Members

I could do with a favour from you - please!!

I’m working on a research project with the University of Surrey and need to get as many business owners as I can to help out by answering some online questions. Is there any way you could get this request out to any appropriate contact lists you may have (Surreybiz and Networking in Surrey?) The content is in italics below - obviously you would need to top and tail it to suit.

The research is being undertaken to find out the common factors which produce business success amongst small and medium–sized private sector businesses formed this millennium and in business for at least five years.

Your input and those from others will be used as data for our research study report and to write academic papers to provide better advice to small businesses on how to grow and to become more successful.

Also, by taking part in this survey, you will be able to receive a summary of the research findings which could be of value to you and your own business. Please email the Project Researcher Harshita Goregaokar on h.goregaokar@surrey.ac.uk to request these findings.

The information you provide will be anonymous and treated in the strictest confidence. Your identity and that of your business cannot be linked to the answers you provide.

I would really appreciate if you could complete the questionnaire linked below by Wednesday 15th Aug:

I have actually completed the questionnaire and it takes just under 10 minutes to complete via the link. Please click on the answer(s) which most closely matches your view for each question. If you would like to add further comments, please do so in the space provided at the end of the questionnaire. If you start to complete the questionnaire, you are still free to withdraw at any time without giving a reason. If you choose to withdraw your answers will not be saved.

We hope that you will help and take part and that you find the resulting papers interesting and thought provoking for your own business.

If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to email our Researcher Harshita Goregaokar on h.goregaokar@surrey.ac.uk.

Many thanks in anticipation of your help, it is greatly appreciated.
