London commuter belt is healthiest place to live
Apparently we are blessed with long and happy lives here in leafy Surrey, according to this article on the Telegraph's website. And on the subject of the Telegraph, I've added a link to their cartoon to the NiS home page so whenever you're on the site you can click to enjoy that day's example from the best topical cartoonist of all time, IMHO!
London commuter belt is healthiest place to live
The rich southern counties boast the lowest number of people who claim their lives are blighted by disabilities and health problems, a report claims
The Home Counties commuter belt is the best place in Britain to enjoy a life free from health problems or disability, official figures suggest.
People living in more deprived parts of the North West are three times more likely to be blighted by health issues than their rich Southern counterparts, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Just one in 20 people living in the affluent counties of Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire claimed they were hampered by health issues in their day-to-day lives, the ONS said. [Read more here...]
