How to Clean Your Bathroom: Professional Tips from RPC Cleaning

More than just a place to clean ourselves, bathrooms are comfort zones where we can simply be ourselves and relax. This is one of the reasons why bathrooms are alternately called “restrooms”.   But this is only possible if our bathrooms are squeaky clean!

How often should the bathroom be cleaned? Once or twice a week is good enough for residential units while it is recommended for bathrooms in commercial establishments to be cleaned at least once or twice a day.

The Cleaning Routine

  1. It is usually the floor area that gets noticed while cleaning. Don’t forget to look up to remove the cobwebs from the ceiling.
  2. Dust the cabinets, shelves and other fixtures.
  3. Along with the fallen cobwebs, sweep or mop away the fallen hairs and dirt on the floor. Empty the rubbish bin too.
  4. Disinfect the sink, toilet bowl and the bath. Remove soap scum and other accumulated dirt.
  5. Remove damp and dirty rugs before they begin to smell and cause the spread of germs. Replace them with dry ones.
  6. Pay attention to the tiles, corners and hard to reach areas. You will need a disinfectant and grout cleaner for this task. The longer the build-up is allowed to stay, the more difficult it will be to remove them.
  7. Mop away excess water on the floor. Alternately, open the window or door or turn on the exhaust fan to dry up wet surfaces faster.

Dressing for the Job

Professional cleaners wear comfortable and washable clothes that are intended for the job. Appropriate shoes, the ones that adopt well to wet surfaces are extremely important.  Remember your gloves and eye protectors, too.

Tools for the Job

Professionals use appropriate tools – brushes, mops, and scrubbing cloth – to do the job right. There is no one tool-does-it-all gadget in cleaning bathrooms.

You should be equipped with the right cleaning substances as well. There are all-natural cleaning products available on the market today that will not harm your health and the environment.
