Hi,
Going online as a small business owner can be terribly daunting and overwhelming. I've learn't a lot but there are a billion things I don't know how to do, yet, or have no intention of learning. As with anything new it's a steep learning curve. When I started my business I knew nothing about marketing and now that's what I mostly help people with!
I have really enjoyed getting digital and mostly, showing others how easy it is to too. Being a Digital Coach for SurreyWISE this year has really shown me how much easier it is when people show you how to do it. I've been reading articles, blogs, reading tips and watching videos and putting the basics into practice. Now I have put up a couple of training videos up on my website and YouTube. This is partly to show how a very small business owner with limited equipment and know-how can do this, as well as sharing some useful way's I've learnt that can be used to market your business easier or cheaper.
My next step is to make a course, or courses, or a membership site - who knows! I still have to rebuild my website and make it mobile friendly - another process I'm learning!
So, my advice is just keep going, keep learning, find better ways to market your business (reaching more of your target market and more efficiently and effectively) and you will grow your business. I have and am, slowly, working very much part time still with my focus still being there, being Mum and enjoying being with my young kids.
