The Cobham Shiatsuthon is a chance to do something great for yourself while helping others. Simply lie down, let go of your stress and enjoy a 20 minute Shiatsu treatment in exchange for a donation to Help A London Child (HALC). The suggested donation is £10. HALC is a fantastic charity which provides financial support to grass-roots projects working directly with less advantaged children and young people. It has helped over 12,000 small groups and charities so far.

Shiatsu, which means “finger pressure” in Japanese, is a relaxing and effective form of massage. Treatments are given fully clothed, lying on a comfortable floor mat. Shiatsu uses a combination of pressure points, gentle stretches and movements to release tension in body and mind. It is helpful for relieving back and neck pain, stress, and many chronic conditions.

This year I am delighted to announce the generous sponsorship of Sweaty Betty in Walton and NiS Member Tricia Woolfrey of PW Hypnotherapy. Sweaty Betty has donated a bag of stylish goodies worth over £40, and Tricia has donated her excellent book and CD. Every Shiatsuthon participant will be entered into the prize draw. At the Shiatsuthon there will also be home made cakes and refreshing drinks to enjoy after your treatment so you can sit out in the garden, letting the relaxation linger.
