With 15 hotels and counting, the Harbour Hotels Group has rapidly grown across the south of England – with properties in Dorset, Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Devon and Cornwall. Harbour Hotels specialise in stylish stays in stunning locations: from seafront to harbours, to a hotel inside a historic old bank, and even a brand new five-star hotel at Southampton designed to mirror an oligarch’s super-yacht.

Guildford Harbour Hotel is located in the heart of cosmopolitan Guildford. This 4-star, 183-room hotel is renowned for its convenience and first-class facilities for both business and leisure travellers.

The hotel has two excellent dining options: 'The Jetty', a seafood bar & grill serving simple, fresh seafood alongside thick-cut steaks; and HarBAR, serving lighter bites and sharing plates all day. The lively 'Long Bar' offers a large selection of wines, an extensive gin list, as well as our signature cocktails. There are live DJs and late night dancing Friday and Saturday. The hotel’s HarSPA features seven treatment rooms, two indoor ‘experience’ pools (one hydrotherapy pool and one plunge pool), a stone oven sauna, an aromatic crystal steam room and a state-of-the-art gym. For business meetings & events, the hotel has eight fully-equipped, flexible spaces totalling over 400 square meters. Our largest space offers a capacity of up to 250 guests, allowing the hotel to cater for almost any event. But it’s also about the little extras. The meetings rooms surround a partially covered, courtyard terrace, ideal for al fresco drinks or dinner. There’s complimentary, high-speed WiFi throughout the venue, parking available on-site and nearby for all attendees. We also offer a dedicated team of event coordinators to help take the stress out of your organisation.

Hi Stacey-Lee

If I may make a suggestion, I strongly recommend you use a photo of yourself rather than a corporate image on your My Page profile. As you can see, almost every Member of NiS who has something other than the silhouette has used a head shot.

It's important to display your mugshot online because cyberspace is 'inhuman'. At a networking meeting you can smile, share a joke, look people in the eye, shake their hand. Online, you're invisible, intangible and impersonal.

Posting your picture lets people identify you when they meet you face-to-face at a networking event having seen your cheery mush online - or recognise you online as somebody they've met in person. This applies to LinkedIn and other social profiles too.

For more of my reasoning on this, please take a look at an old blog post I made here on NiS... Also, if you post a photo I can put you in the Member grid on the Home Page for your fifteen minutes of fame!

Cheers

Keith

Hi Stacey-Lee

Good to meet you at Buzz today!

Thanks for joining us, and welcome to the Networking in Surrey community. I hope you find the site useful for planning your networking.

Now that your profile is live, it would be great if you could take a moment to post your photo in place of the 'anonymous silhouette' provided by the software within 48 hours please!

Best regards
K
