Welcome to Venture Catalyst – a new approach to Business Networking: Formalised business networking groups in the UK have typically been imported or copied from the USA, with an American approach – most notably in the choice of VERY early morning breakfast meetings.

Venture Catalyst networking groups deliver more benefits at lower cost and with greater ease. Generating business referrals is the most important reason why businesses join networking groups and is the prime focus of every Venture Catalyst network meeting. Our business networking meetings take place every week in the early evening, immediately after work (6.00pm – 7.30pm).

Evening networking offers a more relaxed approach for those that want to invest time in getting to know their networking colleagues. This is a great benefit because stronger networking relationships produce more business referrals and more referrals mean more revenue for members. Business Networking in the evening also attracts more women networkers, we are proud that almost 40% of our members are business women.

One of our unique selling points is that we don’t ask members of VC networking groups to run visitors days or to be responsible for increasing membership of the group. That’s OUR job. That’s what VC network members pay us for. Consequently every business networking group operated by Venture Catalyst sees an average of 140 different business people at one meeting or other in a 12 month period. That gives our members the opportunity to build their network at a consistent rate of 2 or 3 new business contacts per week. Every one of those guests at the weekly meetings is a potential client for group members and a potential referrer to their wider network.

Business Education is another core aspect of the Venture Catalyst networking offfering. Ranging from the obvious aspects of business networking skills, to selling skills, marketing, business strategy models. market updates, people skills and practical business tips – Venture Catalyst delivers 8 hrs of quality business education to its members every year; much of it drawn from the MBA syllabus and made relevant to the small business.
