It doesn't have to be lonely at the top! The BOARD was set up as a number of companies expressed an interest in attending events where business issues are discussed with peers and 'Boardroom' colleagues on a regular basis. Why 'reinvent the wheel' when there is likely to be someone else who has experienced and solved your problem?

Only one member of each sector or profession can join each Board. The intention is that Full members attend most monthly Board meetings; Associate members can attend one meeting a quarter, and Ad hoc members can attend one meeting every half year. Confidentiality of conversations is maintained under the Chatham House rule.

Board meetings are held over lunch - the bill is equally split amongst Board members. For Full and Associate members the only other cost is a monthly charge that is dependant on the size of the company. The cost for Ad hoc members is a fee of £25+VAT, plus an equal share of the lunch bill.
