Paul Nathanson will show how you write a press release which will immediately grab the attention, and how to pitch it over the phone. He will outline the Absolute Do’s and Don’ts in writing and pitching press releases, so that you can go away and immediately try yourselves. The session will be very dynamic and interactive, so fasten on your seatbelts!
Paul was runner up as Entrepreneur of the Year last year in the Guildford Civic Awards (Life with Style) and always sees media relations in business terms. PR is not about vanity, but growing your profile and reputation to build your business. Paul is a former Fleet Street journalist and has been running PNPR for nearly 12 years. The portfolio covers financial services, property and the creative/entertainment industries. Past and present clients include Channel 4, Five, Storm Model Management, Loseley House, Baker Tilly and The Heat Basketball Team. He was for many years a visiting lecturer at The London School of Journalism and also taught investigative journalism at The Surrey Institute of Art & Design.
Paul wrote for national papers for more than 20 years including The FT, Times and Daily Telegraph. For nearly 10 years he was the media correspondent at The Mail on Sunday and appeared on the BBC, Channel 4 and GMTV talking about the media and worlds of entertainment. He therefore knows what makes a good story and how to talk to journalists in order to get your story covered. The philosophy of PNPR is great stories, great pictures and cut the hype.

Raw Business School for Entrepreneurs (previously The Entrepreneur School) is a face-to-face networking event run in Dorking by NiS Member Jeremy Webb, that combines business networking with business education. So many businesses fail because many Entrepreneurs lack the necessary knowledge and business skills required to help them navigate, at times, perilous and unforgiving journey of being in business. If Entrepreneurs knew what they would have to give up in pursuing their dreams before they started, would they have actually started their business? Raw Business School can have an impact on business success rates by providing a unique opportunity for Entrepreneurs and business owners to build an extended support network of like-minded people whilst gaining valuable skills.
