PechaKucha Night at Guildford County School

PechaKucha is a not-for-profit event and global phenomenon that takes place in some 400 cities worldwide. It brings together creative, talented and interesting people to share their work, their ideas and their stories.

The unique format has applies a simple set of rules to each presentation: exactly 20 slides displayed for 20 seconds each. That's it. Say what you need to say in six minutes and 40 seconds of exquisitely matched words and images and then sit the hell down.

The result, in the hands of masters of this form, combines business meeting and poetry slam to transform coporate cliche into surprisingly compelling beat-the-clock performance art.

The next event is on Tuesday February 15th at Guildford County School (doors 7:30pm, talks start 8pm, finish 10pm). Confirmed speakers include a trustee of UNICEF, a digital expert from WWF, a geologist, a scientist sending a mobile phone into space, an animal communicator who has worked with wild lions, a productivity consultant, and more...

COST: £3 payable on the door. This is a not-for-profit event. It's 'self-catering' too - so please bring a bottle and a snack if you wish.
