In the spirit of the season we've invited the superbly entertaining Mark Robson from everyone's favourite local family of Pubs (Red Mist Leisure) to join us at the Farnham Hub on the 2nd December as our guest speaker.

It's safe to say that Mark is definitely doing something right, most of us have visited one of the local Red Mist Pubs (The Wheatsheaf, The Stag, The Duke of Cambridge, The Royal Exchange... and more). As well as being stunningly decorated, with delicious local food and beverages (including Silent Pool Gin), you can be sure to be greeted by well trained, polite and helpful staff. All guaranteeing a 5 Star pub experience. 

So what could be more perfect as we go into the festive month than an uplifting, entertaining and inspiring success story from a local business...? I had a quick chat with Mark to get a teaser of what he'll be talking about...

Hi Mark! Thank you for agreeing to come to the Farnham Hub! Can you give us a clue on what the talk will be about?

"My experiences starting / running a pub business, born out of the global recession in 2008. Without the credit crunch, we would not exist in the format that we are today. Our journey over the last 13 years, the up’s, down’s and most importantly the lessons we have learned along the way. A look at how the pub industry has changed in my lifetime and how the future, in my opinion, is very rosy for our sector despite all you hear in the press."

Sounds great! Good to hear that pubs are going to be around for much longer! As well as some reassurance that our favourite haunts are here to stay, what will our attendees get out of the talk?

"Hopefully enjoyment, entertainment, and a little fun plus, of course, an insight into expanding an asset-based SME in a recession, funding battles, the importance of ‘WHY’ and how a culture in a company is everything."
