Networking in Surrey

Website Launch - I'd appreciate Member feedback

Having just started my new business, the website launched yesterday and I would appreciate members feedback on the usability and copy writing of the advice page and employment law page as these are the areas that I will be changing weekly with up to date news

I will be open to all comments and as a new member it would be good to get an overview of what surrey business people are thinking or maybe what they want in terms of news items or advice.

I look forward to meeting you all at networking events over the coming year and wishing you all success for the future.

Hi Mark,

Thought I would throw my two penny's worth in.

I have built a number of sites over the years and have give site appraisals as part of my business and the first thing I would say is that you have a built a very corporate looking site.

In my opinion, people these days like a more personal touch. They like to know who is behind the company, so I would suggest a photograph of you and your team.

I know companies want to appear bigger that they are, because they feel that what the "larger" companies want, but remember people (deal) buy from other people, not the company as such, people want to deal with people on an emotional level. So if you are a band of one, may I suggest you promote the "personal service" that you offer.

On your front page, you talk about what YOU do, but I am looking to find out, what you can do for me. Too many companies talk about themselves, how great they are (not especially you Mark) and this stuff does have its place. But not on your front page.

In the first instance, you have literally second to make an impression, before that prospect has hit the back button and onto the next recruitment company.

Get a headline that grabs attention, make the visitor dig a little deeper to find out more about you.

Put yourself in the mind of the prospect, what are they looking for...Tell em! you've got it here...

Hope some of this helps..By the way your hyperlink above need to be corrected, it doesn't direct to you site.
