What's hot on the Networking Scene right now?

 

I was recently interviewed about NiS on Brooklands Radio by Sally James for her Business Affairs programme. As co-host of TisWas with Chris Tarrant, Sally was a huge hit with teenage lads (and their Dads!) She now runs her own successful businesses here in Surrey, where she's an enthusiastic networker.

We talked about networking past and present, and speculated about the 'next big thing' in this popular arena, where businesses of all shapes and sizes can increase their 'connected-ness' and promote themselves to the local business community.

The interview focused on face-to-face networking rather than social media. Networking in Surrey is primarily an online resource to encourage and facilitate in-person networking between local businesses.

Flirting? Moi? Completely out of character, dear boy!

Oh, all right then, guilty as charged - but in my defence, it's not every day you find yourself in a sound booth with a very British sex symbol... Just me, Sally, and Programme Controller Graham Laycock on the console - cosy!

In the mid 70's I worked with Graham at a hospital radio station..wonderful Radio Wey..I think he went on to Radio 2 and I went to County Sound in Guildford..I wondered what happened to him..
