(This newsletter went out at 01:30 today and it's already out of date, as we've just hit 200 Members thanks to Alan and Matthew who joined this morning...)
Things are still really buzzing here as NiS approaches 200 Members and Networking in Berkshire has passed the 330 mark. Now that NiS membership is free for the foreseeable future, it makes it even easier to recommend NiS to your contacts - so please go ahead and do them a favour they'll thank you for! Networking in Bucks is our new 'baby' and we'll be looking for rapid growth there too (so if you know anybody... :-)
We have two great exhibitions this week we've been flagging up in these newsletters for a while - NiS Member John Udal's thebestof Camberley Expo on Thursday, staged in partnership with Surrey Chambers, and Meet Caterham Business on Friday. Both are free to attend and offer plenty of scope for networking and promoting your own business as well as finding new suppliers, possible joint venture partners etc.
Thanks to all NiS Sponsor Members for supporting us (don't forget to suspend your subs!) - and remember, you can now advertise (ridiculously cheaply) on NiS - please ask me for details. And please post your blogs and comments on NiS too... Take a look at Andrew Widgery's latest post here, on a subject close to my heart!
Diary of a Networker...
Thanks again to all those who came to one or more of my recent copywriting presentations (at LG Networking Mercedes-Benz World, Woking Means Business and 4Networking Walton) - and thank you for the tremendous feedback I've since received at events and online. Last week I was actually doing a lot of copywriting, but still made it along to Business Biscotti at Wentworth and stayed on for lunch in the Members Bar, along with NiS Members Tina Williams and Christine Chalker. Sadly I didn't make Dan Smale's LinkedIn Networking4Golfers afternoon in Guildford, but the next one promises to be fun, on an indoor simulator... I did catch up with Dan though, together wih James Webster, Andrew Widgery and Len Goss, at yesterday's highly entertaining Foxhills Networking and Sculpture event - and it was good to meet up with Samantha Leitch and Rosemary Hemmett at 4N Woking last Thursday too. Oh and I sneaked (snuck?) across the border into Berkshire for a business meeting with Chris Lunn which we combined with a bit of 'foody' networking at the very popular Wokingham Curry Networking Club. Should we have one in Surrey, do you think - or perhaps one already exists that I haven't yet found...
Happy Networking!
