Thought I'd post my weekly Member email here on the blog for general viewing - so here it is...
Well, we’re certainly ‘hot to trot’ here in the NetworkingIn bunker, with both Surrey and Berkshire sites seeing record visitor numbers in September – 480 and 790 unique visitors respectively– fantastic! And our combined membership’s about to sail through the 500 mark – we just need five more Members – so thanks for all your support, everybody...
Google loves us too – type in ‘surrey networking’ and we’re at number one – and we even sneak in at the bottom of page one for ‘networking events surrey’ and top on page two for 'business networking surrey’ – makes ya proud!
It’s working out well for active Members too. Dean Faulkner recently posted a blog about sponsorship activation, and if you search for that term in Surrey, Dean’s right up there on page one.
Watch out for our new baby – NetworkingInBuckinghamshire, coming soon, and ‘cunning plans’ are afoot to give our Members even more scope to find new business going forward... all will be revealed!
It’s the Croydon and Woking ‘Means Business’ expos this week, and all the Regular Group Meetings are all in full swing as usual. The national Business over Breakfast (BoB) clubs are launching into Surrey for the first time, starting with a meeting at the Holiday Inn Guildford on Friday, followed by Kingston at Coombe Wood Golf Club next week.
Now would be a good time to head back to the site to post a blog yourself, or comment on some one else's - and please remember, if you haven't got a photo on your profile, you're missing a trick, big time!
Diary of a Networker...
A busy week last week - and busier still in the week ahead as I’m presenting to three different groups on copywriting and marketing online. I hosted the Weybridge Ecademy evening last Monday, where a select group including David Simpson and Derek Williamson enjoyed an excellent sales presentation by NiS Member Andy Szebeni. Thursday was a hard-core 'out and about’ networking day, beginning with Nigel Temple's first-class marketing Workshop at the University of Surrey (free - courtesy of Business Link), followed by the free launch of the new Business Club at the Hand & Spear Weybridge, complete with jazz band, free beer and wine and delicious bite-size samples of items from their new menu... Tough at the top (and not surprisingly, networking pros James Webster and Stewart Graham were there enjoying themselves too!) I ended the evening at the busy FSB Kickstart event at the Mandolay in Guildford, where I ran into Lyn French and of course, Master of Ceremonies Antonio Falco. And on a very wet Friday, I rounded off the week at the free First Friday Guildfor event, hooking up with Nigel Parsons and Sarah Martin.
Happy networking!
