Networking in Surrey

Blimey it's nearly Torch Time

Amazed to be reminded that the infamous Torch will be carried from Godstone Fire Station To Godston Green (distance around 400 metres and that it'll take FOUR locals to get it that far!!). This event has run the distance (pardon!) and I for one will not be making the 2 mile journbey to watch it!!

Blimey Phil - that's a bit controversial (I suspect deliberately so!)

Here's the torch map for those who are interested in following its progress...

I have mixed feelings myself, having been faintly amused that people are selling them on eBay, yet having a friend with incurable breast cancer who's one of the bearers and we will certainly be there at Ascot to cheer her on.

I guess it's like all public events - you either go with the flow, or do your own thing. As Gino Washington and the Ram Jam Band said, 'Different strokes for different folks'!
