In conversation with Hayley Bystram of The Bowes Lyons Partnership 

Vanessa Lanham-Day in conversation with Hayley Bystram, MD of Bowes Lyon Partnership, a high-level dating and match-making service based in Surrey.

Hayley became a client of mine two and a half years ago when her little boy Samuel was just 3 years old and she was struggling to reignite her passion and focus for her elite dating and match-making business. She was working long anti-social hours with little structure to support her.

Since them I have watched her blossom into an incredibly accomplished businesswoman. Yes, still wracked with confidence issues, self-doubt and self-deprecation but also VERY determined and focused. And funny too.

She gave birth to baby number two – Benjamin - 15 months ago and was back in the saddle selling her £8000 memberships just a few weeks after. But that doesn’t even begin to give a flavour of the lessons we can learn from Hayley’s incredible drive, resilience and determination. When she tells you the story of how one family member tried to take over her business the day she gave birth five years ago - and how she came back from the brink - you will be truly astonished. 

About the speaker:

It is truly compelling to hear Hayley wax lyrical on the art of relationship dynamics – which she whole-heartedly understands. Many of her insights were gained while working in customer service in America, during six years as a Wedding Planner and time spent in a London dating agency.

She believes there are four must-have ingredients required to make a long lasting relationship – a similar outlook on life, a mutual respect, good communication and a natural chemistry. Having spent much time ruminating over theories of how you could better and more successfully match personalities, she realised it was time put her ideas into practice and it was this moment that marked the turning point in her careers. She laid down the plans for Bowes-Lyon Partnership that would very quickly become the DNA of their innovative new business, and applied her acumen to the new project, creating the Bowes-Lyon Index™, a process that works in harmony with their personal approach.
