Entrerprise Elmbridge Global Entrepreneurship Evening at Velocity

Elmbridge Borough Council's first large event for businesses coincides with Global Entrepreneurship Week – an initiative created to promote the benefits of business and entrepreneurship.

The event will be held at Velocity Brooklands, a recently completed office building in the historic location of Brooklands, which is also home to UK headquarters of companies including Sony UK, JTi and Mercedes-Benz.

Residents and businesses are invited to network with business organisations and inspiring entrepreneurs.  A wealth of information is also available to help companies with key issues such as funding, apprenticeships and free data services.

Throughout the evening, there will be a choice of seminars, and facilitated networking sessions, which will keep you busy!  If you are looking for some inspiration, listen to our guest speakers discussing their experience starting-up their businesses, securing money through crowdfunding and exporting abroad.

The highlight of the evening is a Q&A session discussing the growing UK economy.  Dominic Raab MP will join a panel of experts offering their views on what needs to be done to achieve business growth.  The panel discussion will be chaired by Cllr John O’Reilly, Leader of the Council.
