British Sign Language Taster Session, Guildford

Learn Sign Language at United Reformed Church, Guildford 

Since the year dot, deaf people have used signing to communicate. British Sign Language is an official language in this country – but one which very few people choose to learn – despite it being good fun and highly rewarding. Would you like to find out about British Sign Language, have fun, learn some signs and understand a little about Deaf culture?

There are approx' 1 million deaf people in the UK, of which 45,000  are children. Many of these kids do not have signing parents.  Dot Sign aim to encourage EVERYONE parents, grandparents and educators to gain some level of basic sign language BSL - to break down communication barriers. 

These ‘Taster Sessions’ are only £12 (and include tea and biscuits!). GO ON!  You know you want to! Book in advance using the numbers below.

Fri 2nd Sept. 10 – 12pm. URC 83 Portsmouth Road, Guildford.

Sat 3rd Sept. 10 – 12pm. Trinity Church. Brewery Road, Woking
