I've been sewing and doing upholstery since I was at Secondary school, and as my Mother's health went downhill I gave up work to get her up and sort her out in the mornings. I decided, it was now or never to have a go at making a business out of hobbies I'd done for many years. In June this year I became self employed and haven't looked back.
I have taken in repairs and alterations of clothes, soft furnishings, loose covers, upholstery. I also do new projects ie curtain making, loose covers, clothes - I've even re-covered my youngest son's car seats, which somehow I did for nothing instead of him paying a company £800 for the job! I obviously didn't think that one through!
