We've built a quoting app for electricians. We need one or two to test it.

I'm Tony, and I work with CX Data, a data company based here in Surrey. Most of what we do sits behind the scenes for ecommerce brands, but this one started with a conversation.

An electrician told me quoting was costing him his evenings. Full day on the tools, then two hours at the kitchen table writing quotes up, looking up prices, typing out descriptions, making the thing look professional. Then the same again on a Sunday morning to clear the backlog.

So we built QuoteChat.

It works like this. You talk through the job on your phone, room by room. Fittings, points, the way you'd say it to the customer. The app writes it up, prices the materials from wholesale rates, adds your labour at your own rates, and produces a quote on your letterhead with your certification logos on it. You check it, adjust the margin with a tap, and email it. Three screens, start to sent.

It's built and it works. What it hasn't had yet is enough real jobs through it.

If you're an electrician: I'm looking for one or two sparkies locally to use it on actual quotes over the next few weeks and tell me what needs tightening up. We're testing with ten across the UK in total, so the spots here are limited. Free for your first year, no catch, and you'd be shaping what goes in before it reaches the app stores. Message me through the site or email me at tony@tonyrudd.co.uk.

If you're not an electrician: you almost certainly know one. Passing this on is genuinely the most useful thing you could do.

Electrical is the first release. Other trades follow once this one has earned its keep.
