 peaker, Gemma Aston, inspire us with the joys and challenges of major 
 career changes as she talks about Taking the Plunge!\nAfter two years 
 as director of the Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre in Walton-on-Thames, Ge
 mma Aston is planning to leave her job in the summer and move to the c
 ountry with her family in order to search out the next new adventure. 
 Is she mad to be leaving such a fantastically exciting and stimulating
  job, one that she had dreamed of for years? Quite possibly!\nGemma wi
 ll be speaking about her eclectic career to date and the fear and exci
 tement of stepping into the great unknown. There have been many challe
 nges in recent years and many difficult choices made. Prepare to be in
 spired as Gemma talks about her motivation, how she overcame some of t
 hose challenges, what resources she needed to draw on as well as givin
 g an insight into managing a busy arts venue.\nThe Riverhouse is a com
 munity arts centre with a force of approximately 80 volunteers. With t
 he support of private funding, commercial sponsorship and invaluable c
 ommunity labour, the converted 18th century barn now provides the perf
 ormance space for music, drama and dance. The gallery is regularly use
 d for exhibitions and the studio offers a creative area for all kinds 
 of craft classes.\nCOST: The meeting fee is ÂŁ15, which includes a buf
 fet supper.Â  There are no limits on who can attend or how often they

  walk around to the car park and enter the courtyard. Enter the glass
