SUMMARY:CLOCKS 'SPRING' FORWARD...
DESCRIPTION:In SPRING the clocks 'spring forward' (and in AUTUMN they
'Fall' back) so today 1 am becomes 2 am. OK - will you lose an hours s
leep? Or get up later than usual and have a little lie in... because y
 ou're worth it?!\r\n\r\nFor info - 2019 Bank and Public Holidays:\r\n\
 r\n\r\nTuesday, January 1: New Year's Day.\r\nFriday, April 19: Go
 od Friday.\r\nMonday, April 22: Easter Monday.\r\nMonday, May 6: Ear
ly May bank holiday.\r\nMonday, May 27: Spring bank holiday.\r\nMonda
 y, August 26: Summer bank holiday.\r\nWednesday, December 25: Ch
 ristmas Day.\r\nThursday, December 26: Boxing Day.\r\n\r\n...and cl
ocks go back Sunday 27 October - MAYBE!\r\n\r\nThis week MEPs voted to
approve plans for European Union member states to abolish clock chang
es if they want.\r\nCountries are expected to choose to either remain
permanently on summer or winter time, although Portugal and Greece are
among those which have previously indicated they would rather retain
the present system.\r\nIt is more than a 100 years since the changing
the clocks was first established in the UK under the Summer Time Act 1
 916. Despite the results of the EU survey suggesting that 82% of Briti
sh respondents wanted to abolish DST, there does not seem to be any gr
eat political will to do so. Which means we can still all look forward
to gaining an hour’s sleep when the clocks go back again on Sunday
27 October.\r\nSource: The Guardian website here... \n\nFor more inf
