 um enterprises (SME’s) to fund their businesses for working capital,
  investment and growth.  Traditional financing sources dried up while
  regulatory constraints increased the hurdles faced by businesses to c
 arry on normal commercial activity.\n The financial crisis also proved
  to be a source of great innovation which is now transforming funding 
 for SME’s.  Technology enabled platforms to pool capital through th
 e internet from a wide range of small investors and to differentiate f
 inancing opportunities for a wide range of companies including many SM
 E’s who otherwise lacked access to funding. Crowdfunding, invoice-le
 nding, and peer-2-peer lending are examples of these new platforms whi
 ch have emerged over the last few years for SME financing.  Tradition
 al funding sources such as banks have innovated too.  This event will 
 provide practical information for SME’s including an overview of al
 ternative finance, a panel discussion by companies funded through alte
 rnative finance and access to a range of finance providers.  Aim of t
