Networking in Surrey

Part of my daily process always involves starting my day by empowering myself.

This is something that I’ve for quite a while now as I find it’s the perfect start to my day and really has the effect of not only charging me up for the day but it also perfectly centres my mind and my body for the tasks of the day and gives me “clarity of Thought”.

Whether I cycle, run or power breathe around the lakes near my home, because I love the feeling of exercising with nature and especially around water, it’s a spiritual connection and feeling of deep fulfillment.

This morning (Sunday) was a bit different as I didn’t feel the need to do any of this.

Instead I decided to go to early morning mass and I’m glad that I did.

Being brought up a catholic I was always taken to church on Sundays by my parents and like all kids wanted to be somewhere else or out with my friends.

As you get older your life and circumstances and pressure sometimes takes you off track and even though you promise yourself you will go and worship, invariably you fall by the wayside and end up talking to the man through prayer or when times are tough and you hope that someone out there is listening.

It was lovely being in church surrounded by so many families, joining in the hymns and just celebrating the mass and enjoying the atmosphere and I felt my spiritual gas tank being filled up to the max easily and effortlessly.

I haven’t written this as an exercise in promoting God or the church or exhorting you to do your Christian duty but just wanted to share with you that faith, peace and spiritual fulfillment are out there and doesn’t necessarily mean a counselor, therapist, mentor or coach.

You don’t always have to be pushing for the next deal or making your next dollar, sometimes it’s good to have some me time.

The service has ended, how do you fill up your spiritual gas tank?
