This is what we tried to eliminate when we were developing Upinion, a system that allows businesses of any size to ask its chosen audience unlimited questions whenever and wherever they want and receive opinions in real time.
We have kept the operation of Upinion simple so anyone within the business can use it. Upinion currently uses a one-question-at-a-time approach that is sent out to panels built by the user from their own customer database. Questions are sent to the mobile handset of people in your panel via our Upinion app and the answers that are sent back instantly are then used to create reports using the filter options to see who answered what to your question.
This method offers you a practical insight into the demographics and psychographics of your audience for the questions sent. There are a large variety of demographic filters inbuilt and it is also possible to create bespoke filters to suit your specific audience. Not only can the filters identify a respondent’s age, gender, location and income, they can separate vegetarians from non-vegetarians and left-handed people from right-handed respondents – if that’s the demographic information you need.
The great thing about this type of mobile research is it gives you an ‘in the moment’ view of what your audience is thinking about your products or services. There are incentives for consumer audiences to join the research panels because they are rewarded each time they take part in a survey. These rewards can be tailored to suit you and can be channelled back into your business to increase customer loyalty and promote relevant services.
By learning more about your audience you can be more specific in your approach, campaigns or other objectives you need to achieve to improve your business or organisation. There is no limit to the number of questions that can be asked and the data from all the answers can be saved and compared at a later date.
